Broods Discuss Making of “Freak of Nature” & “Free” In New Videos

New Zealand brother-sister duo Broods recently released their sophomore studio album Conscious and are currently promoting it with a tour which starts at the end of the week.

But whilst they prepare for The Conscious Tour which kicks off in Brisbane on Friday, the duo have been uploading videos discussing songs from the LP.

The first was for the only collaboration on the album: Freak of Nature featuring Tove Lo. It turns out after meeting Lo and showing her some tracks from the album they let her write her own verse for the song, which was her favourite from the LP. Lead singer Georgia Nott then went on to discuss the meaning of the song, before eventually tearing up. The song in itself does show to be very touching if you listen to it.

Lead single Free according to Nott, was “the first song that we felt like ‘yeah, we’ve found like the new album'”. Caleb, then continued and said it was the first song that they were ‘100% sure’ was going to be on the album.

You can listen to Free and Freak of Nature (ft. Tove Lo) by Broods on their sophomore album Conscious on YouTube, Spotify and iTunes
